Educating attorneys and the public!
[ CLE | Speeches & Events | Publications by Benjamin | Publications about Benjamin ]
We value our role as a leader in the legal profession and the community at large! We are humbled by those who wish to learn from us. Therefore, our research, writing, and speaking skills do not end with the representation of our clients. All too often attorneys fail to give back to the profession and their communities, who have given the attorneys so much in money, prestige, and trust, but not us!
Our commitment to giving and learning is regularly recognized by those inside and outside the profession. Benjamin K. Sanchez has been a member of the Pro Bono College of the State Bar of Texas since 2001 in recognition of his extraordinary efforts in representing no fee and low fee clients. Benjamin has served clients of both the Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program (HVLP) and the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program (DVAP). Benjamin also has been a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas since 2002 in recognition of his profound commitment and dedication to learning about both the substance and practice of law (Benjamin regularly attends over 100 hours of instruction each year). Clients know that in Benjamin they have a skilled, learned professional who can serve them regardless of the issue and arena before him! We also invest as much in our legal and non-legal staff, so that no matter what the issue or problem, we are well-equipped to handle the situation!

A core value of our firm is giving back in kind what we have been given and so blessed to have received. We teach others because we learn from others. We motivate and inspire others because we are motivated and inspired by others. We write about and acknowledge others because others write about and acknowledge us. We dare others to dream because others have dared us to dream! Benjamin is equally active as a member of the Editorial Board of The Houston Lawyer Magazine and as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Houston Lawyer Referral Service. Such participation is not achieved by happenstance and accident but by persistence and a constant application of a fundamental, core belief in service and charity!
Even in those rare instances in which opposing attorneys, judges, or others take out their frustrations on us, we do not reciprocate in kind. We have taken to heart the maxim that "we can disagree without being disagreeable!" We have gained the respect and admiration of the profession and the public because we are consummate professionals who do not unnecessarily increase the cost of litigation, thus resulting in tangible benefits for our clients! We are better able to negotiate with opposing counsels in the conference rooms, and we are trusted and respected by judges and juries in the courtrooms. Our clients have a headstart in any situation because we cultivate our reputation through good deeds, kind words, and the knowledgeable and skilled practice of law!
We welcome you to take a moment to review below some of the seminars we have taught, speeches we have given, and publications that we have written and have been written about us.
